The sixth V-Day Marathon, that took place on Thursday, 22. June brought together 665 sports enthusiast: 143 marathoners, 259 half-marathoners and 263 kids.

The winner of the Marathon in men’s ranking is from Great Britain residing currently Tartu, Estonia – Jonathan Rosenbrier from New Marske Harriers sport club timing 2 hours 39 minutes and 12 seconds. The best in women’s competition was local Klarika Kuusk representing Diadora Treeningpartner (3:11.12).

„The race was enjoyable but hard regarding harsh headwind. I really liked the forest part. Estonian forest is really beautiful. So far I have had slight problems recovering from previous marathon ran in Tokyo“, said mr. Rosenbrier.

Ranking ninth overall, Klarika Kuusk was happy to beat her previous best in Pärnu. „I took a solo run and fought hard with the windy conditions. I am still happy to beat my last best on V-Day’s track, which was only few seconds slower. Regarding partially cross-country terrain and wind I might assume I’m in quite great shape“, stated Kuusk.

The preliminary results of the Marathon are available here.

The final results will be published on Two Bridges Club website on 27. June at 17.00.
