Dune Race 2021
1st event of Pärnu Two Bridges Club Triple Event Series

1. Objective
•    To offer the joy of movement for everyone – irrespective of age or athletic form.
•    To introduce the nature of Luitemaa.
•    To promote a sportive lifestyle.

2. Organizer
NGO Pärnu Two Bridges Sports Club in cooperation with the sponsors.

3. Date and place
May 23rd, 2021 in Luitemaa Nature Reserve, Rannametsa village.

4.  Competition center, start, finish, track, service on track
4.1.  Competition center is in Rannametsa village, Häädemeeste parish
4.2. Start and finish: Start is given at 13.00. Start and finish are in the same place.
4.3. The track is on a varied surface. The route passes through village roads and a unique dune landscape. Runway length is 8.3 km, the route is marked.
4.4. Service on track: There is one refreshment station on 5,7th km (water, sports drink).
4.5. First aid is available on the whole track. When seeing someone injured, please inform the refreshment station, medical aid workers, the organizers or call on 112. First aid is provided by medical volunteers and Pärnu Ambulance.

NB! The number of places for the running distance is limited, up to 950 participants are allowed on the track.

6. Timing
An electronic timekeeping chip is attached to the back side of the bib. Please check it before the start! Only the contestants with the personal start number are allowed to participate. The number must be worn on the chest and be visible throughout the whole race. Please do not fold the number nor remove the chip. The chip deactivates automatically after finishing the race and there is no need to return it. Please do not cover the bib with your hand while finishing (e.g. for stopping running watch), otherwise the time might not get fixed.

8. Registration and entry fees

8.1. Registration alternatives
8.1.1. Pre-registration on the website until 19.05.2021 at 23.59.
8.1.2. Pre-registration in Pärnu Keskus (information centre) until 19.05.2021 at 18.00.
8.1.3. On the race day on site at 9.00-12.45
8.1.4.  The basis for entry in the list of participants is the start fee received. For those who have paid by the invoice, the payment of the start fee will be checked within 2 working days. Participants who have paid via the bank link will be entered in the start protocol immediately.

8.2. Groups
8.2.1. There is a discount of -15%. Discount applies when all members of the team / sports club register at the same time. No double discounts (e.g. senior / youth discount plus group discount).
8.2.2. Please use the general registration form – in the beginning of registration one can choose the number of persons one would like to register. After that you can add the data of the participants. When pressing the button “apply data of participant nr 1 on all participants”, the same address, club / company will be applied on all.

8.3. To pay with the invoice, please choose the relevant option and fill all the required fields. No invoice is sent via email but the invoice has to be downloaded after completing the registration. Once the invoice has been paid, all participants will be registered.

All prices include 20% VAT. Entry fee will not be refunded in case of cancellation of registration.
No senior/youth/group discount on site.

10. Start groups
Start groups are set up based on the results of Dune Race 2019 but the start number is necessarily not the same as last year. Only the first 300 places are checked from last year, i.e. if the last year’s ranking was more than 300 then the participant receives a start number counting from 301. Special wishes of the contestants regarding start groups are considered until 19.05.2021. Such special wishes shall be sent to In case you are a fast runner but did not participate last year, please contact the organizing team.

11. Re-registration
Re-registration is only allowed until May 19th, 2021 at 23.59. Re-registration is free of cost (except price difference when changing between timed / untimed race; price difference won’t be compensated in the opposite case). No re-registration after May 19th, 2021. For re-registration one needs to send an email to

12. Free transportation to the competition center:
Free shuttle buses depart in front of Pärnu hotel at 11.00 with a stop in Raeküla bus station at 11.10. A seat in the bus can be booked from May 1st until May 21st (at 23.59) via Requests after that will be considered only when free seats are available. Booking is checked when entering the bus.

13. Giving out race materials
13.1. In the competition center in Pärnu Keskus 22.05.2021 at 10.00-16.00.
13.2. On the race day on site in Rannametsa at 9.00-12.45.
13.3. In case the bib is lost, broken or forgotten one must buy a new (price 5€) from the secretariat to be able to start.

14. Results
The results can be checked with a scanner in the race center and are published in real time on the website of (timing service provider ChampionChip Eesti OÜ). The final results confirmed by the judges will be published on the website not later than May 28th at 17.00. Diplomas can be accessed thereafter.

15. Washing facilities
On presentation of the bib in Häädemeeste Sports Center (Kooli 10, Häädemeeste)

16. Award ceremony
Prizes are awarded to the top three in general ranking (both in men’s and women’s ranking) as well as to the winners in each age group. Raffle prizes for runners and walkers.

17. (Nordic) Walking
There is a possibility to choose between timed and untimed distance. For the timed distance the time is registered based on the personal bib. Start after the runners. Contestants on non-timed distance start after the contestants on timed distance.

18. Photographing / snapshots
The organizer has the right to use and publish all the photos and videos made by the organizer for marketing purposes.

19. Appeals
All appeals against results, violations etc. must be filed in 2 hours after the finish is closed at 14.00. Appeal fee is 50 EUR which is refunded only if the appeal is satisfied. Appeals are handled by the jury that consists of the chief organizer, the head judge, and the head of secretariat. Other unforeseen cases are resolved by the Organizing Committee. Organizers reserve the right to change the terms listed in the guide, if the situation requires it.

20. General
20.1. Pärnu Two Bridges Club Triple Event series: collected results of Dune Race, Jüri Jaanson’s Two Bridges Race and Pärnu Beach Race. For more information see Two Bridges Club Triple Event Guide.
21.2. Each participant is responsible for her/his health condition. Children under 10 years of age are allowed to participate on parental permission.
21.3. Please follow the reminder for the participants that will be published on the website latest one week before the event.

21. Rights of the organizer
21.1. The organizer has the right to change the conditions set out in the instructions if the situation
21.2. The organizer has the right to disqualify the participant in case he/she doesn’t follow the regulations of the event, disturbs other participants or prevents the event in any other way.
21.3. All protocols of the events organized by Two Bridges Sports Club are public documents. Start protocols will be published on the website of the Organizer and timekeeping service provider. Finish protocols will be published on the website of the Organizer, timekeeping service provider and protocols of running distances in the newspaper Pärnu Postimees. The organizer is only responsible for the information on its official channels (webpage, Facebook, YouTube).
21.4. The organizer has the right to send to all registered participants a reminder before the event and a follow-up letter with the feedback questionnaire after the event. Corresponding newsletters are sent to the email entered to the registration form. Unsubscribing is not possible.
21.5. Your personal data will only be used for the purpose for which you have entrusted these data to us. Furthermore, no personal data will be passed on to third parties.
21.6. By registering and paying the registration fee, the participant agrees with the terms in this guide and confirms good health.

22. Event cancellation and possible restrictions due to COVID 19 virus
22.1 Force majeure means any unforeseen event of which the timing and manner cannot be controlled or prevented by the organizer (eg war, riot, strike, fire, flood, earthquake, (snow) storm, torrential rain, etc.). In the event of Force Majeure and other situations beyond the control of the Organizer, changes may be made to the program and service package.
22.2. Due to the restrictions of COVID19, a situation may arise where the number of participants and spectators during the Two Bridges is limited. Participants will be notified of any changes via email, the Club’s website and the Facebook page.
22.3. Due to force majeure, the participation fee will be refunded in accordance with these instructions and applicable law.
22.4. If the Two Bridges race is canceled due to force majeure and with at least 72 hours’ notice before the start time, the participant will be automatically entered in the virtual Two Bridges race participant list.
22.5. If the registered participant does not wish to use the transfer options specified in clause 22.4 and wishes to receive a refund of the entry fee, he / she must submit a formally completed application to the Club by email ( within one month from the date of the missed event. The application forms will be added to the Club’s website
22.6. In the event of cancellation of the event due to force majeure, the organizer of the race will not reimburse the expenses incurred by the participants to third parties. We recommend foreign participants to buy travel insurance which also covers the costs incurred in the event of cancellation of the event.
