Canicross 2025

1. Objective
• To offer the joy of movement for everyone – irrespective of age or athletic form.
• To introduce the nature of Luitemaa.
• To promote a sportive lifestyle.

3. Date and place
April 20st, 2025 in Jõulumaa tervisespordikeskus

4. Competition center, start, finish, track, service on track
4.1. Competition center is in Jõulumaa tervisespordikeskus.
4.2. Start and finish:
4.2.1 The canicross race starts at 10:00. Participants start in pairs with 10-second intervals. The first 200 meters of the course are separated by a mesh fence. The starting order is determined based on the 2024 canicross results. The dog must cross the finish line before the runner. The start and finish lines are the same.
4.2.2 The dog walking starts at 13:25, following the start of the 5 km Dune race and walking. The start and finish lines are the same.
4.3. The track runs on varying terrain and passes through a unique dune landscape. Each kilometer is marked. The course is ca 5 km. The course map can be found here.
4.3.1. First aid is available along the course. When seeing someone injured, please inform the refreshment station, medical aid workers, the organizers or call on 112. First aid is provided by medical volunteers and Pärnu Ambulance.
4.3.2. Veterinary is located in the first aid station.

5. Requirements for canicross
5.1. On the competition track, the dog must wear a harness. Without a harness, entry is not allowed! A leash can be used as a pulling line and may be attached either to the hand or the waist. Flexi-leashes are not allowed! The dog must be on a leash both on the trail and in the competition area.
5.2. Dogs must be at least 12 months of age. Younger dogs are not allowed on track.
5.3 Only one dog is allowed per participant in canicross. Changing dogs during the race is prohibited.

6. Requirements for dog walking
6.1. On the trek, the dog may wear a collar or a harness, and a regular leash or a flexi-leash is allowed. The dog must be on a leash both on the trail and in the competition area.
6.2. Dogs must be at least 9 months of age. Younger dogs are not allowed on track.

7. Distances
Canicross 5 km – Timed
Dog walking 5 km – Untimed

8. Timing
An electronic timekeeping chip is attached to the back side of the bib. Please check it before the start! Only the contestants with the personal start number are allowed to participate. The race number must be worn on the chest and be visible throughout the whole race. Please do not fold the number nor remove the chip. The chip deactivates automatically after finishing the race and there is no need to return it to the organizer. Please do not cover the bib with your hand while finishing (e.g. for stopping running watch), otherwise the time might not get fixed.

10. Registration

10.1. Registration alternatives
10.1.1. Pre-registration on the website www.2silda.ee until 17.04.2025 at 23.59.
10.1.2. On the race day on site at 9.00-09.45 (canicross) and 9.00-13.05 (dog walking)
10.1.3. The basis for entry in the list of participants is the start fee received. For those who have paid by the invoice, the payment is due 2 working days and the payment of entry fee is also checked within 2 working days. Participants who have paid via the bank link will be entered in the start protocol immediately.

10.2. Group registretion
10.2.1. Counting from 10 members there is a discount of -15%. Discount applies when all members of the team / sports club register at the same time. No double discounts (e.g. senior / youth discount plus group discount).
10.2.2. Please use the general registration form – in the beginning of registration one can choose the number of persons one would like to register. After that you can add the data of the participants. When pressing the button “apply data of participant nr 1 on all participants”, the same address, club / company will be applied on all.

10.3. To pay with the invoice, please choose the relevant option and fill all the required fields. The invoice is sent via email. Once the invoice has been paid, all participants will be registered.

All prices include VAT. Entry fee will not be refunded in case of cancellation of the registration. No
discounts for seniors, youth and groups on the race day.

12. Entry fee includes:
● Race number;
● A chip (except for untimed distance);
● A medal;
● An electronic diploma with name, personal time and place / participation diploma for untimed distance;
● A sports drink;

● Washing facilities;
● Service on track;
● First aid;
● Luggage storage.

13. Re-registration
13.1. Re-registration is both a change of the distance and/or the name of the participant.
13.2. Re-registration is allowed until 17.04.2025 at 23.59 and is free of cost until March 31st. From April 1st, a service fee of 5 euros will be charged. In addition, a price difference must be covered when changing between cheaper and more expensive race options. However, the price difference won’t be compensated in the opposite case. To do this, send a corresponding request to the e-mail info@2silda.ee.

14. Giving out the start materials
14.1. A veterinary passport must be presented in order to take out start materials!
14.2. In the competition centre in Pärnu Keskus 19.04.2025 at 11.00-15.00.
14.3. On the race day on site  at 9.00-9.45 (canicross) and 9.00-13.05 (dog walking).
14.4. In case the bib is lost, broken or forgotten one must buy a new (price 5€) from the secretariat to be able to start.

15. Results
The results are published in real time on the website of www.championchip.ee (timing service provider ChampionChip Eesti OÜ). The final results confirmed by the judges will be published on the website www.2silda.ee not later than April 25th at 17.00. Diplomas can be accessed thereafter.

16. Washing facilities
On presentation of the bib in Jõulumäe tervisespordikeskus.

17. Award ceremony
The top three in each age group of the canicross competition will be awarded. Special prize for the “Brightest-Eyed Team.”

18. Photographing / snapshots
The organizer has the right to use and publish all the photos and videos made by the organizer for marketing purposes.

19. Appeals
All appeals against results, violations etc. must be filed in 2 hours after the finish is closed at 15.00. Appeal fee is 50 EUR which is refunded only if the appeal is satisfied. Appeals are handled by the jury that consists of the chief organizer, the head judge, and the head of secretariat. Other unforeseen cases are resolved by the Organizing Committee. Organizers reserve the right to change the terms listed in the guide, if the situation requires it.

20. General
20.1. Dogs with poor health or injured (e.g. limping) are not allowed to participate.
20.2. Violence and mistreatment of dogs are strictly prohibited. Physically punishing, hitting, or forcibly coercing a dog is forbidden. Participants engaging in such behavior will be disqualified, and the entry fee will not be refunded. All participants must treat dogs with respect and care.
20.2. Dogs must be vaccinated in accordance with requirements (hydrophobia, complex vaccine). Random check is taken on microchips. Please bring a veterinary passport with you. A veterinary passport must be presented in order to take out start materials!
20.3. Dogs must be harnessed in the competition area. Please follow the general good principles of animal welfare and clean up after your dog. Please show respect towards other participants. For safety reasons please keep an eye on your dog.
20.4. Each participant is responsible for her/his health condition.
20.5. Please follow the reminder for the participants that will be published on the website www.2silda.ee latest one week before the event.

21. Rights of the organizer
21.1. The organizer has the right to change the conditions set out in the instructions if the situation requires..

21.2. The organizer has the right to disqualify the participant in case he/she doesn’t follow the regulations of the event, disturbs other participants or prevents the event in any other way.
21.3. All protocols of the events organized by Two Bridges Sports Club are public documents. Start protocols will be published on the website of the Organizer and timekeeping service provider. Finish protocols will be published on the website of the Organizer and timekeeping service provider. The organizer is only responsible for the information on its official channels (webpage, Facebook, YouTube).
21.4. The organizer has the right to send to all registered participants a reminder before the event and a follow-up letter with the feedback questionnaire after the event. Corresponding newsletters are sent to the email entered to the registration form. Unsubscribing is not possible.
21.5. Your personal data will only be used for the purpose for which you have entrusted these data to us. Furthermore, no personal data will be passed on to third parties.
21.6. By registering and paying the registration fee, the participant agrees with the terms in this guide and confirms good health.
21.7. In the event of Force Majeure and other situations beyond the control of the Organizer, changes may be made to the program and service package. Force majeure means any unforeseen event of which the timing and manner cannot be controlled or prevented by the organizer (e.g. war, riot, strike, fire, flood, earthquake, (snow) storm, torrential rain, etc.).
21.7.1Participants will be notified of any changes via email, the Club’s website and the Facebook page.
21.7.2. Due to force majeure, the participation fee will be refunded in accordance applicable law.
21.7.3. In the event of cancellation of the event due to force majeure, the organizer of the race will not reimburse the expenses incurred by the participants to third parties. We recommend foreign participants to buy travel insurance which also covers the costs incurred in the event of cancellation of the event.
