Between August 31st<\/sup><\/span> and September 1st <\/sup>Two Bridges Race<\/a> brings thousands of sport enthusiasts to P\u00e4rnu, the summer capital of Estonia, and offers a sporty weekend full of different activities for the whole family.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Saturday’s Children and Youth Program is crowned with a free concert by Daniel Levi<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

The day prior to the race is traditionally for children and youth. Also this year the entire program takes place in the afternoon and evening. The day opens at 4:30 pm with a joint training session<\/strong> which also makes an introduction of the following day’s 10km run. At 5pm,<\/strong> people with special needs are welcome to take part in traditional wheelchair race<\/strong>, which gives an opportunity to the people whose daily exercise is complicated for various reasons to put themselves to the test. At 5:30 pm<\/strong>, free children’s races start where boys and girls up to 11 years can show their mettle.<\/span><\/p>\n

Once again, youth race<\/a> is scheduled at dusk with lights shining. 10-29 year old sports enthusiasts are expected to start the race. This is an entertaining run, with light and sound effects. The start of the exciting three-kilometer race will be given at 9pm in front of Endla Theatre. The trail <\/a>runs in the city centre and in the Beach Park. Late night runners will be encouraged by Daniel Levi<\/strong> who is giving a concert at 8pm. The concert is free of charge and is a gift to the city people and guests from P\u00e4rnu Two Bridges Club and P\u00e4rnu City Government.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sports market<\/strong> that opens at 4:30 pm binds the day together by bringing sporty young people and their parents together with numerous sports clubs who will be presenting their sports facilities and services. Among others there are sports merchants who provide attractive offers for the participants and visitors. Sunday comes in a classical format <\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Sunday, September 1st<\/sup>,<\/span> comes in the classical format and takes thousands of runners and (Nordic) walkers to the 10km long Two Bridges Race. The start of the race is given at 12 noon and the organizers are expecting to see more than two thousand runners and more than eight hundred (Nordic) walkers on the track. All runners and (Nodic) walkers of the Two Bridges Race will receive a medal at the finish line, which can be engraved on request. For the first time, the participants will be rewarded with a gift voucher from Viking Line, which gives a free cruise on Tallinn-Helsinki route. The participant package also includes a bib with electronic timing chip, catering and a drink, and other wellness services. <\/span><\/p>\n
