Marathon The Republic of Estonia 100 is a special event of P\u00e4rnu County Victory Day Marathon. Taking place on 22nd<\/sup><\/span> of June 2018 it marks country\u2019s birthday in a special sporty way.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

It is a unique \u201cone-and-only \u201d running event, which enables to celebrate an <\/span>\"MaratoMarathon<\/span>important <\/span>birthday on the route with friends and <\/span>acquaintances. In addition to the marathon also half marathon, unique e-marathon and children\u2019s race will take place<\/span><\/p>\n

This event embodies an own \u201cstory\u201d \u2013 P\u00e4rnu County has strong connections with restoration of the independence of Estonia. The oldest remaining settlement found on the marathon route is Pulli village and \u201cManifesto to the Peoples of Estonia\u201d was read out aloud on the balcony of the Endla Theatre in P\u00e4rnu. Therefore it can be said that P\u00e4rnu is the birthplace of the Republic of Estonia.<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/a><\/strong>distance<\/a><\/strong> will take participants along the important historical monuments and presents beautiful landscape of P\u00e4rnu County \u2013 Pulli Village, the prehistoric settlement Reiu, Reiu-Raek\u00fcla pine dune, eye-catching Jaanson\u2019s shore track, Tallinn Gates, moat, P\u00e4rnu Beach \u2013 and these are just some of the landmarks that make the marathon one of a kind experience. \u00a0The finish line is special, as the last kilometres run along the summery P\u00e4rnu<\/a>, cheering public along the main street of the city.<\/span><\/p>\n

All participants of the marathon and half-marathon will see a lot of blue-black-white along the track and will get a dignified and thematic medal<\/u><\/a> on the finish line \u2013 Monument to the Proclamation of Independence on P\u00e4rnu R\u00fc\u00fctli Square. In addition\u00a0 Cra<\/strong>ft running shirt<\/u><\/strong><\/a> is a part of the starting package.<\/span><\/p>\n

Complete a virtual marathon\u00a0 – no need to drive to P\u00e4rnu <\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

In addition to a major programme virtual race \u201eE-Marathon The Republic of Estonia 100<\/a>\u201c <\/strong>will take place. This event invites everyone to the track \u2013 people who have no possibility to come to P\u00e4rnu but still wish to get part of the jubilee run. One can start at favourable place and time all over the world.\u00a0 Once the distance has been completed the log of the sports watch or mobile app or snap of the treadmill screen must be emailed to the organizer. Treadmill running and (Nordic) walking are also approved ways to complete the distance.<\/span><\/p>\n

Participant\u2019s name and result of the distance will be published in temporal order in the finish protocol and each participant will receive an electronic diploma and a medal<\/u> with insignia The Republic of Estonia 100 (medal will be sent by post). In addition sport watches from Polar<\/u><\/a> will be raffled.<\/span><\/p>\n

Participation of the virtual event is available between June 21st<\/sup><\/span> at 00.00 and 22nd<\/sup><\/span> to 23.59.<\/span><\/p>\n
